5/20/22 I only provide services via video or tele-health. I no longer meet in person in Portland, Maine. I have resettled in Eugene, Oregon. I offer evening hours to people in Maine and Oregon.

My mission is to help people develop the ability to negotiate healthy, satisfying lives and relationships. I do this by providing effective couples counseling and psychotherapy for individuals. I work extensively with individual clients dealing with issues ranging from anxiety, life's purpose, difficulty with relationships and life transitions. 

The benefit you receive from therapy is directly related to your level of comfort and trust in your therapist. Therefore I encourage you to call and ask all the questions you need or want to know beforehand in order to decide if you would like to meet with me. Vetting is both welcomed and encouraged!

I strive to provide culturally competent counseling to every person and couple with whom I work. I am experienced in providing counseling to people of all gender identities, sexual orientations and sexual preferences. I provide LGBTQ "friendly" counseling. I do not pathologize, judge or dehumanize non-normative relationship statuses. I welcome our differences and appreciate being exposed to outlooks and preferences that are new to me. In the event that I am lacking knowledge about some aspect of your culture that seems relevant I will inquire as to how you would like me to proceed with my ignorance.
