Couples counseling services are provided for $160 a session (90 minutes in length). I do not accept Cigna insurance for couples counseling. Those insurances that I do accept only cover 50-60 minutes of the meeting. Therefore couples have to cover $60 for an additional 30 minutes.
Individual services are provided for $100 session (one hour).
Payment: Cash, check and cryptocurrency (bitcoin) is preferred. I do have a Square reader which I can use for credit cards. There is a 3% mark up in all services charged on a credit card. The Square reader does not process HSA cards.

I am out of network with the following insurances:
Aetna- They may tell you I am in-network, however this is not true. They have yet to reimburse me for services provided, each time with the explanation that I am an out-of-network provider. In the event you have Aetna I will provide you with an invoice that you can use to submit for reimbursement for out-of network providers.
The following are some helpful questions for understanding the coverage of your insurance plan. Call the membership services number on your insurance card.
Can you verify if a specific counselor will be covered?
Do I have a deductible, how much?
What will my co-pay be?
Do I need pre-authorization for mental health services to be covered?
If so what do I need to do to obtain pre-authorization?
Is there a limit to how many sessions will be covered?
If you are doing family counseling (which is what couples counseling is referred to as by insurance companies) make sure you have coverage for that specific service by asking "is family counseling or a 90847 (the code for family counseling) covered by my plan?"
This check with your health insurance customer service department should clarify what mental health coverage you have as well as what your co-pay and/or deductible will be. I know this can be confusing so if you have done the above and still have questions that need answers and you think I could be of help please give me a call.
Cancellation Policy: Appointments cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time will be charged a $53 fee for an hour appointment cancelled and $78 for a 90 minute appointment cancelled. A "no show" will be charged a $53 fee for an hour appointment and a $78 fee for a 90 minute appointment. Please recognize this as a cost of doing business with me. I strictly enforce the cancellation/reschedule policy and appreciate your understanding. I will ask for a credit card to be kept on file which I will charge for late cancellations and no shows.
Please print and fill out the appropriate forms before our first meeting. For couples counseling please print out one copy of all five forms. For individual counseling please bring a one copy of the first two forms.
United Behavioral Health, Harvard Pilgrim, and Optum- Optum, whom represents Harvard Pilgrim and United healthcare, has an interest in dictating the information that is selected to be included in my notes, on my clients, whom they also insure. As a measure to appease Optum and remain in-network I am taking the step of including an additional form as part of the intake assessment. This is a form that your insurance company believes has necessary questions to get necessary answers which they want included in my file of you. They intend to occasionally ask for my files of you to check and see if the information of yours they want me to have is in my file on you. Please fill out this form to the best of your ability prior to us meeting. As you are filling out the form you may come across questions that stoke thoughts that such information is important to talk about with me. In that case please inform me of whatever it is that you want us to focus on. You may also think that the questions or information asked is not relevant to your reason for seeking out my consultation. Please do your best to respond and I will do my best to efficiently collect information that you and I think is irrelevant to your outcome and reason for seeking my services, but relevant to your insurance's company desire for how we spend our time together.
